What Readers Are Saying:

"This book is so deeply spiritual in a context deeper than what we know as spiritual. The love for your son emanated from every page. The self-exploration was profound! True parenting begins with soul searching within ourselves. And it becomes a journey and not just an experience when we trust ourselves to be all that our children need us to be from childhood through adulthood. Great Book! I really enjoyed it!" ~Veronica Thomas, RN

I was not sure what to expect as I approached this book. I am normally drawn to non-fiction that tells a a unique story, but not overly excited about many stories concerning raising a family or the series suggestions that are given to others in similar situations. Still, I knew the author and wanted to give the book a fair shake.
I am glad I did.
The book is divided by many sections of how Diana handled being a single mother. From the decision point of becoming a single parent to the obvious items you have to deal with day to day to help a child grow up as a tremendous individual. I was impressed with many of the approaches while I did not agree with others, but saw their merit and would have considered them carefully when I was raising my children.
All in all, this is a super fun read with nice little quips and a cute narrative that keeps your interest from start to finish. Good job to the author and it would be nice to see a follow up from the son's perspective now that he is grown!
