The Passionate Plotter
A Writing Workshops & Workbooks

New Release!
Picture
This book is an amalgamation of over ten years of workshop lectures and worksheets.  It is intended as a hands-on resource for those who want to write a book, but cannot, for reasons of travel, expense, or scheduling conflicts, attend a workshop in person.

Inside, you’ll receive guidance on nearly every aspect of the writing process… planning plot, crafting characters, world building, dialogue, and more.

Each chapter includes specific support as you use the worksheets to enhance your fiction, non-fiction, memoir, and children’s books.  There are even notes pages, to track your ideas throughout the program.  Write directly on these pages and keep the book close by as a reference while you work on your project.

This book is divided into three major segments: one for writing craft, a second for marketing, and a third for publishing.  One guidebook can’t possibly include everything, but this process brings most concepts together in one volume, so you don’t have to dig for too many additional resources.  Enjoy Your Writing Journey!

50% of sales proceeds support writing workshops for school-aged children.

What Readers Are Saying:
"The Passionate Plotter is an engaging and interactive workbook that breaks down the daunting desire of writing a book into manageable and purposeful tasks. Unlike many craft books that focus only on writing or publishing, The Passionate Plotter includes all aspects of the creative and business sides of penning a book and birthing it into the hands of eager readers. Beginning writers will benefit greatly from the explanatory chapters and corresponding worksheets to plan and author their first (or second or seventh!) book."

The only issue I find with this workbook is that it wasn’t available when I began writing!

Diana Kathryn has taken many lessons learned, as a writer, editor, publisher, and bookstore proprietor, and compiled them into a single volume.  This is an excellent source book, with outstanding worksheets for the new writer to build a sound foundation.  It could also serve an experienced writer as a review or refresher for the basics of a successful writing career.

"Every aspiring author (or well-established one for that matter) would certainly benefit from reading this book and applying the author’s hard-earned advice. The friendly, casual tone was given weight by the seriousness of the information presented and the power of the author’s obvious expertise. The interview questions, and highly detailed worksheets, push writers deep inside their character’s psyche. Striving to find what THEY would say in reply is very instructive and makes them come alive. After reading The Passionate Plotter, I am both encouraged and terrified by the awesome task of writing, publishing, and marketing my own books. With three genre-defying books only half done, I know that this guidebook will become an essential tool in helping me to carry these tales through to their proper end.”
