The Writer's Workout Prompts & Ponderments for Your Writing Practice
This book is your writing workout guide. Inside you'll find 120 workouts with four segments each to support your consistent practice, strengthen your writing muscles, and build confidence in your craft.
Of course, there is no requirement to publish whatever you write as a result of working with this guide ~ but it might be fun.
That's kind of the point to all of this. Have fun, after all, our creative pursuits should be enjoyable to us ~ otherwise, what's the point?
INSIDE THE PAGES:
Segment One: The Coaching Moment. An insightful quote from an author, scriptwriter, or other notable word nerd personality to offer a bit of inspiration.
Segment Two: Diana Kathryn's Writing Warm Up. This is my own reflection, inspired by the Coaching Moment for that workout. I hope it gives you ideas about your own writing practice and perspective.
Segment Three: The Writing Exercise. These are random writing prompts that have nothing to do with anything... they are presented as imagination starters for you to play with. Consider them pool noodles and snorkels.
Segment Four: The Vocabulary Stretch. You never know how one simple word addition or change can create new ideas. Use them or not, as the mood strikes you. There will not be a test.
