The End of Another Season

December 2025

Yesterday was our last book signing event of the 2025 Festival Season. Drake and I celebrated the end to another year with S.W. Raine and Lisa Ann McCarthy at Sweetwater's Coffee & Tea in Novi, Michigan. The wind howled and the snow blew across the parking lot with tremendous fury... but we were unbothered, enjoying conversation with each other, visiting with readers, and indulging in delicious hot cocoa and croissant sandwiches. Drake said it wasn't a bad way to end the year, and I agree with him.

We had a wonderful year of fun, appearing at a total of seventeen events ( three on our calendar were cancelled), some large, some small, some indoors, some outdoors, some to benefit charities and schools and others just to share the wonderment of the written word with readers of every ilk. I especially enjoy the Festival Season because I get to share space and fantastic conversation with several other authors, discovering their new stories and celebrating their writing careers. There's nothing quite like the energy exchange that happens when like-minded souls get together. It's intoxicating!

I'm looking forward to a few months of rest and writing before the next season begins in the Spring... but I won't lie, I'm also looking forward to a bit of down time to read all the spectacular books I bought while adventuring this year!
